Maintaining A Youthful Appearance
A lot of things can damage the skin, such as pollution in the air, the sun, cosmetics, and the inevitable ageing process. There are however many things you can do to maintain a youthful appearance.
Keeping hydrated and drinking a lot of water is one of the most important steps. Studies show we’re meant to consume at least eight glasses of water a day.
A healthy diet plays a big part so avoiding or limiting your intake on processed foods can make a difference. Introduce plenty of vegetables to your diet. Other antioxidant-rich foods which can help are youghurt, olive oil, fish, nuts, blueberries etc.
Don’t overdo it on alcohol, tobacco and caffeine either. Vitamin supplements can be beneficial too.
Exercising slows down the ageing process too, so get that heart racing.
Sun protection cream is another important factor which you should be adhering to daily, even if it doesn’t even seem sunny or hot outside.
Other daily and nightly creams and moisturisers should be a part of your beauty regime. Those high in Retinol are recommended.
Get plenty of sleep. Not getting enough hours will result in your skin looking tired and dull. The recommended hours are at least eight.
No matter how old you are, it’s never to early to start looking after your skin and slowing down the ageing process.
